2. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Server Logs: When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects server log files including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, date/time of access, and data volume transferred. Log files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies required for the website to function properly, including cookie consent preference storage. If analytics is enabled in the future, analytics cookies will only be set after you provide explicit consent.
- Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter via Emailit, we collect your email address. We use a double opt-in process: after signing up, you receive a confirmation email and your subscription is only activated once you click the confirmation link. Your email is stored until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.
- Affiliate Click Tracking: When you click an affiliate link (routed through our /go/[code] redirect system), we log the click event (timestamp, tool identifier) for analytics purposes. No personally identifiable information is stored in connection with affiliate click tracking.
3. Legal Basis
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds under Article 6 GDPR:
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Server log collection for website security and stability, essential cookies for site functionality.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Newsletter subscription, non-essential cookies (if applicable), analytics tracking.

We currently use only essential cookies:

Our newsletter is delivered through Emailit. When you subscribe, the following data is collected:

6. Affiliate Link Tracking
AI Tool Radar participates in affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link (routed through our /go/[code] redirect), we may log the click event (timestamp, tool identifier) for internal analytics. 7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process data:
- Emailit (Newsletter): Processes email addresses for newsletter delivery.
- Supabase (Database): Stores affiliate click data and newsletter subscription records. Data processing agreement in place per Art. 28 GDPR.
- Hosting Provider (Vercel): Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Server log data is processed on their infrastructure. Data may be transferred to the USA based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Data processing agreement in place per Art. 28 GDPR.
- Affiliate Networks: Various AI tool companies whose affiliate programs we participate in. Cookie policies vary by partner.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their respective policies.
